Craig’s beekeeping journey began at the age of 16, when he answered a help wanted ad in the local newspaper from a beekeeper looking for summer help. He enjoyed his summer beekeeping job so much that four years later, he purchased his very own 100 hives.
Craig continued his full-time college studies while caring for his hives on the weekends with his then girlfriend (now wife), Jennifer.
In June of 2007, Craig and Jennifer were married and decided to go into beekeeping as a full-time career. That fall they expanded to 400 hives, packed up all of their belongings into storage and headed to California with the bees. They lived in a 20-foot camper for 6 months while working the bees and trying to make the proper connections in the Almond pollination world of beekeeping.
Today, Super Bee runs 3,000 hives. They produce RAW honey in Minnesota in the spring/summer months and pollinate almond orchards in California during the winters.
For the Weber family, beekeeping has become a way of life, as they are on a mission to steward our planet and the people on it by caring for these vital, magical little creatures the very best way that they can. To them, keeping honey bees is a sacred honor and duty. They delight in the privilege and opportunity to spread love and appreciation for the bees and their many gifts.
